First win in 2013

At Saturday I managed to take my first win of the season. I finished the second Norwegian cup at 32 penalty points, ahead of Thomas Aasen at 37 and Joachim Skjævestad at 64. Really satisfied with the result, and happy I managed to stay focused and ride my best.

Big ups to my physical coach Eirik Sandvik, Marius Dammyr, Red Bull, my sponsors (logos above) and the voulenteers.

Now I'm at the train, back from site inspections in Lillehammer, where next years World Championship will be held. I think we found the perfect spot, and hopefully both spectators and riders will be happy

First show in 2013

This Saturday I did the first show of the weekend, at the westcoast of Norway, in Haugesund. Good crowd and great vibes. Hopefully I inspired someone to start riding trials.

Training in Hardanger and Bergen

I've been training in my hometown in Hardanger since the first Norwegian cup. Also, been in Bergen a few times aswell. All the time, me and TRA have been training together, and he has managed to shoot some really good images. It's a pleasure to work with him, the way he looks for perfection with trials in mind. I really like the results, and here are my favourites!

First Norwegian competition

Yesterday the first competition of the Norwegian cup was held in Bergen. We were six elite riders, and pretty much all the best were attending.

I had big expectations for myself, and my goal was of course to win the competition. Sadly, I couldn't control TRA, who made a great third lap, and won the compeition. I ended up in second, and I'm not satisfied at all. We all did stupid mistakes today, but I could have done it better. A lot better.

Now I'm looking ahead. I will train harder and work more on the important details. In one month the worldcup starts, and that's where I really should put the effort.

Just finished my last gym session here in Barcelona. DiR Campus has been a really good place to lift weights, and they have helped me out with everything I asked for. I even trained for free today, as my membership ended in February. You will see some action from the gym in the upcoming video, being released in a few weeks.

Now I got seven training sessions left of my stay here in Barcelona, in only four days. Later today I will go to Dani Coma's place and do a session at his private compound. Doing double sessions every day the next days, trying to get as much as possible out of my stay.

Yesterday we were riding Orrius trials park. A super nice place, with areas of concrete, rocks, tires and trunks. I managed to do some filming, and here you got a new screenshot bonanza. This is from my GoPro, all static angles and poor quality. So, in a few weeks, you will both get some video magics from Eirik Skarstein, and some video rubbish from me. Life is full of contrasts, huh?

And, this post is also dedicated to planking/full extension. Think I got a few good ones yesterday:

Video shooting done

Yesterday Eirik Skarstein from Secondary Films left Barcelona. We got four days of shooting, and hopefully the footage was good.

I think we got a good mix of natural, bike park and street, aswell as other documentary stuff. The edit will be some sort of an action-documentary.

Copa Osona competition

At Sunday I participated in the second round of Copa Osona at Roda de Ter, a regional Catalonian cup in the Osona district, north of Barcelona.

I rode the expert class (highest difficulty), and in total 150 riders attended the comp. In the end I got 6th place, with some big and stupid fives, most of them in the first round. Zero zeros, but in the post comp training I managed to zero everything in one or a few tries.

The competition was extremely well organized and professional, thanks to Dani and his Trialsport crew. Big ups for making such a good event.

I'm a lot better at competitions now compared to same time last year. Just need to sort of my "zero or die" strategy, and I will zero a lot more ;)

Solo again

One week with Norwegian company is over. Joachim and Erik left this morning, going back to Norway. Today there wasn't that much of a difference between Norway and Barcelona. We woke up to snow on the ground and low temperatures. Not what you usually associates with this city. Hopefully the snow melts away asap, so I can go out and ride.

Tomorrow I'm going to Roda de Ter and ride the second competitions of the Copa Osona series. First competition in 2013 is going to be exciting. Hopefully I can gain some experience and test my skills.

I got company

The training here in Barcelona are going really well. Last week I managed to put in 26 hours of training, so this week is a little less hard. The progression is going forward all the time, and I really enjoy living here.

At Sunday morning, I got company. Joachim and Erik arrived, after a pleasant night on the airport floor. It's great to have some Norwegians to talk to here, and also someone who's always available to ride, as I can pull them out of bed personally.

Today I finally got a rental car. A beast of a car, the Ford Fiesta! Hopefully our creative minds can manage to put three bikes and three big and buff guys inside.

Now we're discussing where to ride today. The opportunities are endless, thanks to the absence of public transports. I love cars!

Since Monday I've been training 18,5 hours, so today is definitely rest day. Despite high training volume, I managed to increase the weights in the gym, and progress at the bike aswell.

Tomorrow night are Erik and Joachim arriving. That is going to be so rad!

I've got about 120 video clips so far, but it's mostly for technical analysis, and not much variety. But, this morning I did some screenshots, just to get some action out here at the website.
